Over the past 20 years, I have created images for families, businesses, musicians, artists, brides, various publications, fellow photographers and pet owners. They all had one thing in common and that was they wanted work that would be authentic, enduring and timeless.
I have a degree in studio art and journalism from The University of Alabama. Over the years, I have studied under and worked alongside highly respected artists and journalist within the industry.
I shoot a combination of film and digital depending on the goal of each session and individual. It is my belief that I keep the traditions of analog photography in practice as it is a dying art in today's digital society. I still develop my own film and am in the process of building my own darkroom for silver gelatin wet prints.
My photography is not just a profession. It is who I am. It is a way of life. It isn't a 'hobby' or something I decided last minute I wanted to pursue. Photography for me is more than just going out there and taking a pretty, posed family portrait. I seek depth and meaning behind my work and I consider myself blessed when others invite me to share my vision for their own unique needs and celebrations.
My art work has been exhibited, published and collected throughout the U.S. and I consider it an honor (if you've read this far) that you took the time to learn more about my work.
